A Special Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day full of great surprises. On Friday when I picked Lilah up from school she was carrying a beautiful cake that she made for me. She was so excited and proud of what she created. I let her know how gorgeous it was and that she did an excellent job.

When we got home she just couldn't wait to give me another gift she made me in school. I have to admit, gifts made by my children are the best gifts I could ever get. I was excited to see what else she made. She pulled out this cute decorated bag with tissue paper stuffed inside. Both sides were decorated with her artwork. Love it!

Inside I found a coffee mug with lots of candy inside. She also made me 3 magnets of her hand prints and a heart she drew. This is something I will treasure forever.

I told her how much I loved this gift and that she did a beautiful job. I could really tell she was proud. I hung my magnets on the refrigerator for everyone to see. I also wanted her to know how special this was to me.

On Sunday morning I woke up to roses, a balloon, and card on my kitchen table. They were the most beautiful hot pink roses, my favorite!

We went to a wonderful church service at our home church with my mother. After church we all went out to eat and enjoyed each other's company. It was a very special day, and I am so thankful for having the privilege of being a mommy to my three little girls.
