Enjoying the Christmas Season

As a family we have been enjoying the cold weather and Christmas season over here in Texas.  It has been in the 40s and 50s and beautiful outside.  Yes, those are cold temperatures for us.  We are used to 70s and 80s this time of year.  Last Friday we even had some snow flurries come our way.  It was so nice to get a touch of "winter weather".  Some joke that our four seasons here are summer, summer, summer, summer.  We have been drinking hot chocolate at night, listening to Christmas music, making homemade gifts, and drawing some Christmas pictures like this one from Delilah...

I love the way she spelled Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.  So cute.  Last Thursday night Celeste had a Christmas program at her school.  The theme was It's a Cowboy Christmas.

I tried to take good pictures, but I was in the very back of the church holding Trinity who was kicking and yelling.  When we got home I wanted to record her singing her favorite song from her program...

Trinity loved the hat.

Last night we took the girls to our hometown's annual Christmas parade.  It was cold and rainy, but the girls still had a great time, and Celeste was excited to see "Clause".

I hope everyone is enjoying the best time of year.  Next week I will be showing you some of the great homemade gifts I have been working on!  Stay warm!
