Disaster of a Christmas Card Photo Shoot

About a month before we left to Florida I bought the girls really cute Christmas outfits.  My plan was to walk down to the beach, layout a nice white blanket, place each of my children in the perfect spot, watch them just smile away, and shoot picture after picture.  I envisioned myself just stuck deciding over which perfect photo to use for our Christmas card this year.  So on Thanksgiving day I dressed each of my girls, fixed their hair with a matching bow, and headed down to the beach with my husband to capture the best picture of our girls.  I even took a few in the car of Trinity to practice her beautiful smile...

"What a great smile baby", I told her as we were about to step out of the car.  "Will you smile like that for Mama when I take your picture again?"  Her answer to me, "Yeps"  Great I thought, this will be just perfect.  We all hurried down the long bridge that leads to the white sand and green waters.  Delilah and Celeste ran to the sand and were ready.  The sunset was beautiful, all the tourists were off the beach, and my girls looked beautiful.  Now for the picture.  Getting ready ...

Trinity is not so sure about the sand.  Delilah loves the sand, and Celeste is still tired from the turkey.  So lets try this with Delilah holding Trinity.  Maybe she will smile...

Not so much!  So maybe if I sit them down in chairs it would be easier...Trinity is thinking about if she likes this or not...

Not so sure...

Really not liking it...

I don't know what to do at this point.  My last try was to sit them down and let Delilah hold Trinity...

She is not liking the sand on her feet.  And then this was the last picture I attempted and my favorite...

At this point I gave up.  I'm going to try again at home next to some poinsettias or the Christmas tree.  Hopefully I can get the perfect picture.

Girl--I TOTALLY know what this is like!!! We tried SO.......hard to get a good family photo! We tried THREE different times and after about 1000 shots...not 1 was perfect. We went with the best one, but Hudson isn't looking at the camera. Oh well! Maybe next year!

Your girls are adorable!!!

First, thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet words of encouragement.

I love your blog. It's the closest thing I'm going to get to snow living in Guatemala!

Your girls are off the charts adorable (and I love their names). I just had to laugh at your post. We've all been there.

As your girls grow, it's these fun out-takes that show their personalities that you will really cherish.

God Bless,
Kathie

Girl, I can relate! Sometimes my kiddos are all smiles, and other times it's impossible to get a decent picture. :)

Your girls are getting so big! They are adorable.

Love, Kristy

PS Your blog is so cute!
