Again, this week my post comes a little late. My husband took my camera this morning to a job site to take "before" pictures, so I had to take pictures when he got home.

Delilah & Celeste's Room
Kelly, over at Kelly's Korner hosts a home tour every Friday called Show us Where You Life Friday. I'm going to do mine today, but will post a link to it tomorrow on her site. Every week she asks people to post about different rooms in their house. This week is Nurseries & Children's Rooms.
They decided on hot pink as a paint color, and the original plans were to have glitter in the paint, but I just imagined it all over the floor, and decided against it.
This piece of furniture was hand painted by my grandmother. It used to be in her bedroom, and recently my grandfather gave it to me, and I will treasure it. It is so special to me, and beautiful. The tea set on top was given to Delilah from my mom, and the baby in the picture is Celeste. So sweet!
Lilah was painting one day at home and when she finished I thought her paintings were so beautiful and matched her room. I bought these frames and hung them by the bed.
I didn't want to put curtains over the windows but I wanted something decorative over them, so I found these for only $7 and they look great.
Remember tomorrow is Favorite Things Friday! See ya then.
This is what you need:
I cup of flour
3/4 cup of crushed pecans
1 stick of margarine melted
1 8oz. package of cream cheese
1 cup of powdered sugar
16 oz. of cool whip
1 3.9 oz box of vanilla pudding
2 cups of cold milk
1 10oz carton of frozen strawberries in glaze (thawed)
1 package of strawberry glaze
1 container of fresh strawberries
Ok...here's how to make it...
* with a spoon, stir together melted margarine and flour. Then add pecans. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass baking dish and bake at 350 for about 10-15 min (until golden brown)
* In a bowl mix together (with a hand mixer) cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. Then add HALF of the container of cool whip (8 oz). Set bowl aside
* In a separate bowl mix together vanilla pudding and cold milk until pudding is pudding like (only way I can describe it). Then pour pudding into bowl with cream cheese mixture. Mix together and set aside.
*In a separate bowl mix carton of frozen (now thawed) strawberries and 3/4 of the package of strawberry glaze together.
Now its time to put it all together.
* Pour cream cheese/pudding mixture over pecans in the dish. Next pour frozen strawberries and glaze on top. Then put the remaining cool whip on top of everything. Cut up fresh strawberries and layer on top of cool whip.
Like I said this is super good, and I promise everyone will love it!
I love this picture...again, she wouldn't let go of that phone...
I wanted to get a nice picture of my girls in front of this wall, but after several pictures this was all I could get.
Then Trinity decided to take a break for a sip of a lime sonic slush.
As we were leaving I wanted a picture of my girls in front of the aquarium with the harbor bridge in the back. Again, not everyone was looking. Its ok...they still look beautiful.
We had such a fun day, and it was a great way to start off the summer. I look forward to many more days like this with the girls.
One more thing...when we got home they sky looked like this...
and we got some much needed rain. I even heard thunder and saw lightning. Praise the Lord!
Her teacher, Miss Edwards, was such a wonderful teacher, and did a great job teaching Lilah this year.
Me and my big girl...
Me, Lilah, and Trinity in her classroom...
This year flew by so fast. This is Lilah on her first day of school and her last.
She started on the walls in her room...
